I´m learning from everybody experience´s. Reading your
blogs and nicenet´s post make increase my knowledge and also I´m learning from
your experiences.
I have open some web sites that you recommend, and also your links at
delicious.
The websites from this week are so useful; there are different kinds of
activities, that we can use exactly as the website indicates, but also we can adapt
the material to our needs.
Now that I start thinking on my final project, I can
see how it is slowly moving, at the beginning I was thinking on a different
issue, but to be honest, READING is a hard task to my students, I do not
understand why they do not like to read, even neither to follow the reading
with their eyes, or to follow it by listening the CD.
I am a reader.
I had tried to transmit this love to them, but they haven´t catch it. I already
start brainstorming on what kind of technology I can implement into my class to
improve reading, to make my students read. If you check my delicious page, from
the first time up to today it has increased, now I have some important links
that I am reading in order to elaborate this project. All this is what I have
been done during week 4!!!
Hi Andrea,
ReplyDeletewe are all in the same boat, trying to catch up with our colleagues who have gained a lot of experience even before they join this course.I do appreciate what we are all doing.
As far as the topic you have chosen it is of paramount importance to learn how to read. However, any learning needs motivation coupled with hard work. Our students are reluctant to read in any language. I think that their attention span has become very short due to getting addicted to viewing either TV online video. In other words, the more visually oriented.
carry on,
Ilham
Hello Andrea,
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing ok. I agree with you that taking this course has meant a great opportunity for learning not just from its syllabus but from the participant’s interaction as well. I especially enjoy reading the forums via Nicenet. I grab a small notebook and jot down the main ideas from my colleagues to have a big picture of the issue being discussed. Regarding the activities for reading, I have come to the conclusion that you as a teacher have to find a good balance between those online tasks designed to be made in isolation and those with lots of interaction with other readers. As for reading habits, as you say, it is true; no many kids are not willing to read beyond the amount of 140 characters and that´s something we have to tackle with motivating strategies to raise the bar a bit. I am glad to hear that your project is aimed at this issue. I hope to be able to find good sites use Delicious to share them with you. Best of luck to you Andrea.
Hello Andrea!
ReplyDeleteI am experiencing the same as you when it comes to absorb so much information at once because we are receiving information from many different sites as well as from many different people that have great and diverse ideas to share.
My delicious page is also increasing and I have to tell you that before I didn´t use any king of tool to take track of my sites and links so this is very helpful.
I am too making some changes to the first ideas I had about my final project and I thinks there will be more changes throughout the next weeks, wich is possitive.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards!
Chiara.
Hello Andrea!
ReplyDeleteLike you I am full of new information and also with new content knowledge from every one in the course. There are many things to learn from other teachers that want to share their ideas with us.
Regarding Delicious I have to say that I am very happy with it, before I didn´t know about any site to keep track of my sites and links.
Throughut these weeks I have changed lots of ideas for my final project, which is positive but now I don´t know what to expect which mekes me a little nervous but in a possitive way.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Regards,
Chiara.
